Coal Gasifier Ash Transporting System

Coal Gasifier Ash Transporting System

The ash generated in the coal based Gasifier is discharged intermittently from the ash lock vessel to the ash sluice trench provided beneath the vessel. The sluice trench is provided with high pressure water jet nozzles and a uniform slope for the easy flow of the ash slurry to slurry sump. The ash slurry passes through a Grizzle feeder before it flow to the slurry sump where the coarser particle of the ash will be separated and fed to Belt conveyor provided at the discharge. The conveyer will discharge the ash in to the silo for its onward disposal through Trucks. The finer particle of the ash and water will feed to the slurry sump. The ash slurry collected in the slurry sump will be pumped to Hydrobin through ash slurry pumps where the ash particles will settle down at the bottom of the Hydrobin and water will be decanted out, the moist ash is discharged to Trucks for its onward disposal
